  1. In the old/ directory there are some programs to work with RUCP. They
  2. are quite old and no longer supported, but may be of use for some.

  4. freenews.spk   V1.14, NNTP news fetcher, uses NEWNEWS
  5. messenger.zip  V1.02, quite powerful news and mail reader, only works in
  6.                conjunction with newsbase
  7. newsbase.spk   V0.59d, mail and news database server for multiple users,
  8.                very flexible and powerful, works with Freenet, Termite,
  9.                KA9Q, ANT Inet Suite; includes several server facilities
  10.                like POP3, NNTP...
  11. newshound.spk  V1.20, NNTP news fetcher, does not use NEWNEWS (some providers
  12.                don't support that command anymore)
  13. newsread.spk   V1.03a, nntp newsreader
  14. transports.spk additional transports for Newsbase for Taylor UUCP,
  15.                FreeSMTP, SOUP...
  16. ttfn.spk       V0.36, news and mail reader for newsbase
  17.
